The ultra-cool and compact Megatech Interceptor Aerobatic Jet RTF is a great first plane for anyone 8 and up! The Interceptor jet is powerful and fast enough to do vertical climbs and loops with its twin motors, but is slow enough for new pilots and kids to manage safely. Wingtip mounted lights make it look cool and help you navigate the plane near dusk and dawn. MicroMag twin motors provide the thrust and turns are executed with differential thrust technology, i.e., varying the RPMs on each of the twin motors.

The Megatech Interceptor Jet is made from durable EPP foam (expanded polypropylene) and measures 9"""" long with a 10"""" wingspan. The nose cone has extra protection from a hard plastic cover that prevents damage from nose first impacts into the ground or other objects like trees. The plane comes with a 2 channel transmitter to control the throttle and left/right steering. Trim adjustment is also provided. Trimming this plane means fine tuning the controls so that when the right stick is in its neutral position the plane will fly straight ahead. The 27 MHz FM radio gives the plane an operating range of 500+ feet, which is plenty of room for loops and other aerobatic fun.

A rechargeable 3.7V LiPo battery powers the plane. This LiPo battery can be recharged with a peak detection quick charger incorporated in the transmitter box, so you can recharge it anywhere. Two colors, red and blue, are available and up to two planes can be flown in the same area without radio interference.

The Megatech Interceptor Aerobatic Jet is sold ready-to-fly; the user only needs to provide 6 alkaline size AA batteries for the transmitter. Be sure to use alkaline, not rechargeable, batteries for this transmitter or else you will have trouble charging the LiPo battery from the transmitter.
