The Redcat Racing Rockslide RS10 XT Rock Crawler 2.4GHz is the next generation motor over axle Rockslide RS10 XT with a new 2.4GHz 3 channel crawler radio. It has the same suspension design of the earlier Rockslide RS10 XT that lets this amazing 1/10 scale electric truck climb nearly anything in its path. Rocks beware! It comes with 4WD and dual brushed 70T 390 class motors give it the climbing power it needs. The Rockslide RS10 XT 2.4GHz model also has a durable aluminum chassis and oil filled shocks built to handle the rigors of off-road driving. A tough polycarbonate body resists road-rash damage to keep it looking good.
Dual steering servos allow 4 steering modes that you can select on-the-fly to pick the best line through your rocks. You control the direction, throttle, and steering mode all through a 3 channel digital radio transmitter. An LCD picture on the side of the radio shows you what the current steering mode is: front wheel only, rear wheel only, front and rear wheels in opposite directions, or front and rear wheels in the same direction.
The Redcat Racing Rockslide RS10 XT 2.4GHz model wheelbase is slightly shorter than the first generation Rockslide RS10, 12.5", to be competition legal and there is a skid plate beneath the vehicle to prevent it from getting hung up on rock edges. The Rockslide RS10 XT also features a low center of gravity plus a battery tray designed to accept a standard, flat stick pack battery.
Are there any fun upgrades for my crawler? Why, of course there are! An extra battery, smart charger, and/or steel gears can help you have even more fun with your crawler.
An extra Hexfly 7.2V 2200mAh NiCD Battery with Tamiya Plug is a great addition to your crawler collection. With the Tamiya connector, it plugs right into the stock Rockslide RS10 XT crawler. The Tenergy Universal Fast Smart Charger is a good, quick charger that gives faster charge times for NiCD and NiMH batteries than the stock charger you find in many ready-to-run trucks. A 7.2V 3000mAh pack can be recharged in 1.5 hours. Lower mAh packs take less time and higher mAh packs take more time.
A steel gear set with 10T pinion is also available as an upgrade over the stock plastic gears. A complete crawler upgrade requires one gear set per axle, or two per truck.
