The Redcat Racing Monsoon XTR 1/8 Scale Nitro Truggy is tough as nails with a 4.57cc 0.28 SH P3 engine, 3.0mm 6061 aluminum chassis, aluminum oil shocks, and pivot ball suspension system. A single speed transmission gives the Monsoon XTR a simple and elegant design, one of the reasons this model has become known for its durability. In addition, the Monsoon truggy features a tuned exhaust, composite disc brakes, and a Redcat DSM-2C 2.4 GHz transmitter. Its fuel tank capacity is 125cc and the ground clearance is 42mm (1.65in).

As with other nitro fueled vehicles from Redcat Racing, the Monsoon XTR nitro truggy requires separate starter equipment plus fuel to run. The basic starter kit includes a rechargeable glow ignitor and charger, plus tools and a fuel bottle. An electric starter kit is also available to take the place of the pull start. The electric starter kit is Redcat Racing part 70111E-Kit plus the SH 0.28 Drill Start Backing Plate that you must install onto the engine. This electric starter kit does not include a glow ignitor, which is still needed to run the Monsoon truggy. Starter kits and fuel are available separately as accessories at top right.

As with all nitro engines, the engine for the Monsoon XTR requires a break in period before running wide open throttle. Follow all manufacturer instructions to break in and tune your Monsoon truggy and then let the real fun begin! Redcat Racing also offers a lifetime engine replacement program for nitro trucks, so keep your receipts.

The Redcat Racing Monsoon XTR truggy is available in one color pattern, red and yellow as pictured. It measures 550mm L x 440mm W x 190mm H, which is approximately 21.7" L x 17.3" W x 7.5" H. The manufacturer advises that the Monsoon XTR is suitable for hobbyists aged 14 and up.
